Orange Turmeric Oats with Warm Berries and Coconut Manna

Orange Turmeric Oats with Warm Berries and Coconut Manna

This bowl looks like a lava lamp, which is mostly appropriate because I really did laaaav(a) it.  Plus its ingredient list is ridiculous in terms of staying well through these colder months: vitamin C from fresh squeezed oranges, omega-3’s from chia seeds, slow digesting carbs via oats, good fats (hi coconut manna!), hormone balancing from the maca, antioxidant rich from berries, and immune boosting via turmeric. Swipe right to these oats.

  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 orange
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp maca powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • pinch of black pepper

  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 tsp honey

Put frozen berries on stove. Add in a dollop of honey and stir until all melted together.

Add almond milk, 1/2 of the fresh squeezed orange, chia seeds, vanilla extract, maca powder, turmeric, and cracked pepper to oats. Microwave on high for three minutes. When finished, add in other splash of almond milk and squeeze of the other orange half until desired consistency is reached. Top with the berries and drizzle on some coconut manna.
