Garlic Turmeric Cashew Spread

This spread is both extremely versatile¬†and sprEDIBLE (obviously it’s edible, this is largely a food blog after all). I’ve been using it on toast and pizza, and as a dipping mound for crackers and raw veggies. Definitely the Miss Congeniality of my kitchen this week, and packed with healing ingredients. Both garlic and honey are antibacterial and antiviral, and turmeric is anti-inflammatory. Recipe below!

  • 1 cup cashews, soaked overnight or for 4-6 hours
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh garlic
  • salt
  • pepper

Combine all in food processor and blend until smooth! Use it as a dip or a spread!
