Cambridge City Guide

Cambridge City Guide

While I typically say I live in Boston when asked, I technically live in Cambridge (a little neighborhood about 2 miles outside the city. It is my favorite place in the universe. I love my neighborhood and the food is divine and there is always something to walk to or do. Below are a few of my favorite spots!

EATING THINGS

Moona: I am over the moona about this place. The fig molasses butter that accompanies the bread in the very beginning is enough to have me come back for more. Some highlights: crispy kale, parsnips, and the dips plate (shown here). Side of rose because I’m predictable.
Life Alive cafe: cannot speak more highly of this place. Plant based bowls with tons of veggies, amazing smoothies, and kombucha on tap. Get anything with the ginger nama shoyu sauce and ask for extra sauce.

Tatte bakery: If you want a surefire winning Instagram photo – go here. Tons of baked goods, avo toast, amazing salads, and great coffee / tea / matcha selection. Definitely crowded but definitely worth it.
Area Four: Best part about this place is the pickled vegetables as the appetizer. Other noteworthy items: any of their pizzas, asparagus, and drink selection. Menu changes often, and have never had a bad meal here. 10/10 would recommend.

DRINKING THINGS

Daedalus rooftop: Cool rooftop overlooking Harvard Square

Brick and Mortar: Cool drinks, kind of hidden. Can be loud and crowded.

Beat Brasserie: Wine on tap and great cocktail menu. Also randomly got the grilled octopus here once and it was shockingly amazing.

DOING THINGS

Harvard Stadium Steps: do this on your own or hook up with Sweat Or Regret – they run a FREE workout on Saturday mornings. You run half the stadium steps and then do a body weight based workout afterwards. Class is around an hour long. You will definitely sweat. And you will definitely not regret it. Such a fun, cool, and nice community and a great way to meet new friends!

Walk the Charles

Follow the Honey: literally my favorite place in all of Massachusetts. All bee products (honey, waxes, lip balms, pollen, etc) and you can even do honey tastings!

A4cade: Play arcade games and drink with your friends! So fun!!

Niche Urban Supply: #plantgoals or whatever

grocery shop: Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods
